Meet Jacque of Krochet Kids Peru! We have the blessing of calling her family because she is also part of our church body. She is a beautiful young woman with a precious 2 year old, Bianca. We would love it if you would pray for her, and the other women of Krochet Kids. Thanks Krochet Kids International for giving these women such a wonderful opportunity to change their lives. This is an amazing video!

A fun post from our teammate Anna: A Sample of What We Eat. She took pictures of our meals for 2 weeks and did a post of what our weekly meals look like. It can get a little crazy living in a community with anywhere from 5-12+ adults around the table.

Born and raised in the great state of Texas, and have the "southern drawl" to prove it.

The middle child in every way, shape and form. I have 2 sisters, 2 nephews and 2 nieces. I adore them all.

Although I have survived several bumps and bruises on this road called life, I am saved by the precious blood of Jesus.

As a result I can't help but worship my Savior through singing. I’ve recently found myself as the worship leader of our community in Peru. I am learning as I go, but I know God’s plan and timing is perfect. Recently, God miraculously blessed me with a guitar that I am currently learning how to play. I am inspired by Jesus Culture and Kim Walker-Smith. I long to worship with such freedom and assurance.

You will usually find me on the other side of the camera. I have a passion for photography, although I am still learning. Practice makes perfect, right? I’m a Canon girl at heart, but I don’t hate or discriminate when it comes to other brands. I just like what I like!

I love to travel {and dream of going to Australia}, bake {because I get to lick the bowl}, coffee {no explanation needed}, and musicals {I’ll sing every part to every song}. I am obsessed with Chick-Fil-A, Reeses and Dr. Pepper. I probably have as many “internet friends” as real life friends, and enjoy meeting people from all over the world.

I've been blogging since 2004 and mostly write about my adventures as a blonde, blue eyed, tall, white, Spanglish speaking "gringa" living in Latin America.

Rugby, our fur baby, joined our family on March 20, 2010. Before we ever got a dog, Shaun was convinced we were going to name him “Rugby”. {He plays here in Peru and is a National Champion aka: Superstar} I was 100% against the idea. We had our new puppy an entire day before I finally gave in. He was such a small, timid little guy and the name seemed so out of place. But as time went on, he got the idea and grew into his name. He is now over a year old, and is the most energetic little “Rugby ball”. He has been such a blessing to us and a perfect fit to our little family.
